Thor when u out play the other team , or score more , u then win the game

thats how sports is played golf is a lil odd b/c u have to have the lowest score

The answer is really quite simple, in the US sports is big business, the more they win the more the owners/sponsors earn, therefore, they buy the best talent from all over the world...

The US team played well and got lucky that Spain did not, not much more to it than that. Spain were on a world record run of 15 consecutive victories, but it was bound to end some time. Also, this is the confederations cup, not the world cup, so Spain were really the only good opposition the US has managed to beat thus far. They will likely lose to defending champions Brazil in the final, who already beat them 3-0 in a group game.

It was a HUGE win for our team but we know we're newbies on the world soccer scene so who knows. Soccer doesn't get a lot of attention here in the US but this win did cause some ripples and interest! That's a good thing for USA Soccer.

peace buddies,

I think you have to be a Brit or live in parts of the world were those British sport is common to like this sport.
I've never found that a sport I would like to watch for more than 10 minutes plus the rules are confusing, aren't they?

Since the FIFA World Cup in 2006 I got a little more interested in soccer but I wouldn't call myself a soccer fan.

I only saw a few clips of the match US vs Spain. The the US team just had the luck on their side so they could win.
That's often the same with the German team when they get a tiny chance scoring a goal 5 minutes before the end of the match (which was all in all boring as hell) and in the end they win. Sometimes they are just lucky bastards! :p ;)

I won't hijack this thread, other than to say - YES! It's very confusing until you get into it. You spend a leisurely day at a cricket ground, chatting and eating your sandwiches in the sunshine, moments of excitement with the game, and you will appreciate it. :)

Understanding Cricket

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side thats been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.

When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay all out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game!

Hope this helps.....

Such a 'sport' could only be 'invented' by Brits. They are nuts enough for something like that. I love :)-* to all the Brits in this community!) this characteristic but it's hard to understand when you are not used to it.

You did your best but I'm so lost & confused right now.

I won't change my mind that I prefer soccer over cricket.
It's much easier to understand:
22 men trying to get the round thing in the square as often as possible. That's almost it. :thumbs up:

I love the 'chatting and eating your sandwiches in the sunshine' part

Probably crickes isn't that bad. ;)

Btw: The German team won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship title! Yay!
But this this time it was no luck but a very good match! They deserved it!

That could be true.
I've never understood religion so it's no surprise that if your thesis it true that the cricket rules are like an enigma to me. :p
