USB mouse

Why the hell is it that any USB wireless mouse I try wanders all over the place like a drunken sailor, or makes me wait 10 seconds or more before?

One Google search threw up a suggestion that a Nortons antivirus "glitch" might be responsible, but there was no useful link. And a further specified Google search didn't help.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

In the meantime I'm back to a PSP wired mouse. An old PSP wireless mouse worked perfectly before it gave up the ghost.

But just to demonstrate the lack of choice we consumers have, you go into a computer shop and seek anything OTHER THAN a US wireless mouse, and you'll be disappointed.

Grrrr. A waste of the PSP port on my PC.

I think I had the same problem. My usb mouse was giving me 2 or 3 second delays , not at first, but as time went on. In fact I think it coincided with changing my PC and Vista!! Maybe that was my cause.

I went back to a normal wired mouse, works perfectly

I had a wireless mouse (just the mouse) a time ago and I threw it the same day! They`re shitty when they`re sold separately...the little USB infrared stick has nothing to do with anything...it`s a stupid useless thing! The best choice is to buy a set of Keyboard and mouse who work together on the same transmitter. I am using wireless keyboard and mouse from Microsoft ...it`s been almost a year now and besides the batteries that need to be changed, I had no problems with any of them two.
