Using IE9 Beta...and enjoying it.

Well, folks, I've gone the microsoft way...after three failed attempts to download and install, it finally works. I had to download the stand alone 35 MB file on the language selection page.

Anyways, first thing when it started up was to list the add-ons that I used, that slowed down my loading of web pages! And it gave me the option to disable these, and I disabled them all !

Supposedly the IE9 uses the video card in your computer to handle processing, which should make it faster...obviously you're never in a game and on the IE9 at the same time...or are you? lol

Btw, Microsoft just released a new platform preview version of IE 9 yesterday. Nothing earth-shattering in it, just claims to be a bit faster and more stable than earlier releases.

I'm also using that. Most of the time its good, but some flash videos are sooo slow with that and I'm running it in a Core i7

I do not believe that MS will ever get Ie to work as well as it should. I use it only when I have to.

ie9 is pretty cool so far--you can go to a webpage then drag that tab to the toolbar on bottom of the screen and then click it to go directly to that page when want to--i have like 11 of these on my toolbar --sites i go to regularly--and its awesome to be able to go to the site directly without having to launch the browser--then type in the site or go to bookmarks and get it there----


there are a few sites that are clashing with ie9 --geico for one--always freezes so i have to use mozilla to check my auto policy and pay it
