Virus detected upon entry

Every time I enter the forum my security program finds virus and luckily squashes it. Why is this happening? I can log off and then on again and there is another virus? IS IT THIS SITE? IS IT NOT SAFE TO LOG ON? HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM???????:angry:~X?:no::thinking:

I haven't had this problem. I'm no computer expert in any way so I'm not sure if I can help at all but what anti-virus program are you using?

Sometimes anti virus will claim a website is unsafe based on reports. It could be the simple cookies used to login that it may consider unsafe. It could be that someone has shared a file here in the past that resulted in a virus, and the anti-virus company may have been notified or noticed it.

This site doesn't have any advertisements on it as far as I know, so theirs no direct third party code that appears that could be malicious.

I highly doubt this website has any vulnerabilities/viruses, however sometimes when people add code to their websites, plugins, or something like that, it can be infected with code that could jeopardize the entire web server if the software/code they are adding came from an unreliable source.

If you could share more information it might help the techies..

• Have you received any error codes or specific messages you could share to help identify the source?
• What Anti-virus do you use?
• When did you first notice this?

I've had Norton once - never again. Said Virus 'bout nearly every site, i was watching those days. Then i changed to Avira - bad idea. Let pass a lot of viruses and malware, especially from XVideos. After changing to AVAST, everything is nice.

Don't forget to mention that as long you do not install the toolbar, yes AVG is fine

I should also add that you need to keep your subscription up to date or you'll find out soon enough how AVG can become a pain in the arse
