I've worked for Wal-mart for about 8 years now, that being said, its the perfect production of capitalism. All it really does is try to redistribute sales from various areas to itself, and true for mom and pop stores this is bad and in small communities most companies can't compete with their prices. Frankly I found the comment about Wal-mart not having any money tied up in its product kinda funny because somewhere around half of our sales are from grocery items that are not imported from china. However for all those mom and pops out there which is worse, the fact that Wal-mart is giving customers the option of other places to shop or the customers for choosing to shop there? And to stave off some of the unavoidable flames for saying what i have, yes i agree Wal-mart is not always acting in the best interests of its customers or employees. Such as the fact they just transferred a manager from my store to another rather than fire her despite multiple complaints of flagrant discrimination.
