Two guys pretend to serve pure, organic food to people on a food convention. They realy just serve them McDonalds.

The reaction of the "experts" is priceless.

Basically they are, yes. Confirmation bias - it's 'organic' so it must taste better etc etc. WTF is organic anyway? Contains carbon?

I don't care. I don't like fast food (and these big chains like McD or KFC especially)
I like whole food - food what doesn't have list of ingredients on it because it's an ingredient itself. :D PALEO rulez :p

I cook a lot too and very rarely buy frozen pizzas etc. The last time I really got hungry for Mac Donalds fast food was when I watched "super size me". :D

So I guess you cook too. Do you do this Paleo, leaving away bread, noodles etc.? "Paleo" doesn't really convince me. I haven't tried it though, the premise sounds a bit like "playing with clichees" for selling purposes to me.

People were not healthier in the stone-age, they had cancer and all other "civilization"-illnesses too. So I try not to have too many repetitions in my diet.

Before there were Fast Food outlets on every corner our food contained artificial ingredients, preservatives, anti-biotics, hormones, fertilizers and pesticides.

Prior to 1972 when its use was banned, DDT was a commonly used pesticide. Although it is no longer used or produced in the United States, we continue to find DDT in our environment. Other parts of the world continue to use DDT in agricultural practices and in disease-control programs. (epa,gov/)

We lived in a city when I was very young but my parents grew a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees and we raised chickens for eggs and meat. My father and brothers fished and hunted. We were not affluent by any stretch, lol. Even though we raised about half of the food we used there were some staples we had to buy at the A & P (Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. food stores, I don't know if it still exists anywhere nowadays). Dairy products were delivered to our door by a milk-man twice a week. All of those products were produced using fertilizers, pesticides and hormones.

Fast food is usually fried rather than steamed, poached, baked or broiled. I think the fats, grease and oils are harmful and contribute heavily to the obesity epidemic along with a lack of physical activity and reliance on TV and mobile phones in lieu of exercising, working and playing.

I enjoy a trip to fast food shops once or twice a month but anymore than that would turn me off. A greasy burger or a greasy, cheesy pizza once in a while tastes good.

The food we cook at home is the best. I know the stuff we buy at the market is produced using modern methods including artificial things and chemicals. 'Organic' labels do not guarantee quality. Corporations use labels to sell products. They will lie to us. Don't be fooled by them. The government agencies who set up regulations about labels are bought out by corporations. Don't trust them.

Even if you raise all of your own food you will be hard pressed to do it without modern techniques of one sort or another. One reward of raising your own food is you will get a lot of exercise and that is good for your health. :)

It's always fun to make fun of experts, but the thing is, we know from scientific study that our brains lie to us. Our brains REALLY react differently to the same input depending on our expectations.

You can (and scientists have) put people in an MRI and give them the same wine but with two different expectations, and watch as their brain reacts differently to the identical chemicals hitting the identical tastebuds.

Our brains are strange and mysterious things!

It's a fun video, but my reading of the situation is that the tasters are being polite. I am sure that in the course of that day/event they tasted some pretty icky things but were not going to turn around to the person presenting the food and say... 'God this tastes like shit!'
