I am definitely getting older - for a while I saw GOTH teens - both boys and girls - which to me was just like the PUNKS of our time. Now I see these EMO boys - but never seen any around here. What are these EMO boys about? How did this trend start?

Look at the wikipedia-article...

"Emo emerged from the hardcore punk scene of early-1980s Washington, D.C., both as a reaction to the increased violence within the scene and as an extension of the personal politics [...]"

:))

I think, it's more a fashion-style... I know a lot of guys with black-coloured hair.. wearing black and pink t-shirts... they call themselves "emos" but they don't hear "Hardcore-Punk" or "Emocore" or whatever...

The youth nowadays.... :p

Emo is def a fashion....which often gets referred to in my area as "emosh":worried:, def a music style:thumbs up: I don't know what it is...but yes, I find emosh bois hot usually.

For me...emo is really about the personality. It is about one who easily and freely expresses their strong emotions and feelings, they don't hide or fear expressing their real inner feelings. The are two sub species;
Emointroverts and Emoextraverts. Emointroverts are more self focused, shy, and in tune with their own internal emotions. Emoextraverts are in tune with their internal emotions as well, and very outgoing, showing intense apathy for others...to the point they really do "feel" other people's emotions. Its almost like having a 6th sense. "I feel your pain"...omg did I just call Bill Clinton an emo..lol

I consider myself an "Emoextravert", but not necessarily emosh. Though i love emo and screamo music and some emo fashion, but no wild hair or painted nails for me!! I claim the true emo movement started with my generation...it was a natural result of being raised in the 60s & 70s. We were taught to express ourselves and to be receptive to feelings of our ourselves and others around us. I tend to be more receptive to negative feelings such as pain and sorrow....because I know them so well.
"Life is as dark as a dead puppy's eye"

Emo Patrol

I think this is one of kevin's kitties that ran away from home....I have no fucking idea about this vid...but then my black cat Morpheus is an emointrovert since his wife, Shela, left him for a tabby down the street.

Emo kids have different meanings to everyone. Idk, i sort of consider myself an emo kid?

I just think emo kids usually are skinny, have dark, longish hair and have huge hearts its a kind of persona just like jocks preps etc.

Emo, Standing for emotional, they can be ultra giggly cute and really sad and depressed. They are just very expressive of their feelings and I'm really attracted to that.

Anywho, those are my thoughts.
