Lunch today was, for me, a real "blast from the past," something I had totally forgotten from my kid days -- a liver cheese sandwich. So simple, just bread, mayo, and a slice of liver cheese. I know lots of folks can't abide liver. And I won't eat the calves' liver with onions. But fried chicken livers send me into Nirvana.

May I ask you, flesh84, as you must know a lot about cooking, is it worth buying the better pasta? I always get the cheapest pasta and spend the difference on better tomatoes. What do you use?

The speech is complicated, because I buy pasta in Italy (I live in Italy) and there are no excessive prices. As well as tomatoes. A bundle of spaghetti for example costs 50 euro cents ( $ 0.6808 ) Barilla, Divella, Dececco .... What brands are there of pasta? How much do they cost?

Lidl Combino fusilli is 49p, 60 eurocent, 500g, cheap enough.
You don't need to be rich to eat Italian style.
