Just read the thread start so here goes:
I like the bassline and the lyrics.
Lords of the New Church - Open Your Eyes
Video games train the kids for war.
Army chic in high-fashion stores.
Law and order's done their job.
Prisons filled while the rich still rob.
Assassination politics.
Violence rules within' our nation's midst.
Well ignorance is their power tool.
You'll only know what they want you to know.
The television cannot lie.
Controlling media with smokescreen eyes.
Nuclear politicians picture show.
The acting's lousy but the blind don't know.
They scare us all with threats of war.
So we forget just how bad things are.
You taste the fear when you're all alone.
They gonna git'cha when you're on your own.
The silence of conspiracy.
Slaughtered on the altar of apathy.
You gotta wake up from your sleep. 'Cause meek inherits earth...six feet deep.
Open your eyes see the lies right in front of ya.
Open your eyes.....
Why does it seem like every new artist these days has to be younger and younger? It can't be that suddenly all people have realized "that hey! kids of age twelwe actually are the greatest singers and songwriters" And yeah I get that teen idol thing and comments like after the first shock "his songs aren't really all that bad".
And I'm not jeaolus(seems to always be the argument if youd don't like for example Biebers music)... I just miss the attidute of the 80's and stuff when so much new, honest, avant-garde and new kinda music were made And of course there still are those new experimental people, personal people, but the media view on music has gone really homogenic. Listening to radio these days (which I don't do anymore) it all sounds the same:yawn:
And of course everyone has their own taste, but it can't just be that everyone today likes the same kinda music. Feels like have to go to very wierd clubs these days to hear some good music:rofl: Kids should effin play and not be some animal puppy like cute things that make people go 'awww' paraded on TV. And these music company puppets~X(
Today things for me obviously seem to be hitting the fan bit messier than some days
