Oh my, the warlrus of love. It's easy to laugh at overweight straight men who think they are God's gift to women, the world is full of them. But none of the others have a backing band like Barry had.
The Love Unlimited Orchestra was made up of forty musicians, all good, some very good, and so tight. Tight not by click track and quantization but by discipline. Barry would still have had hits with an ordinary band but we wouldn't be listening to them nearly fifty years later without his fabulous orchestra.
