Summer is Here!

...and another round of heat is on the way.

Locations from Madrid to Paris, Belgium, Frankfurt and Berlin can expect a multi-day heat wave, with daily temperatures near or above 32 C (90 F). In the hottest locations on Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures could approach 38 C (100 F).

The heat will develop also across England while pretty warm days are also increasingly likely over Ireland and Scotland.

Looks like it's gonna be a hot summer here in Europe

Fire and Ice

A few things came together today:

The sun came back (at last) so I it was out in the garden on the sun-lounger!

The replacement aerial for my digital radio came so I was able to take that into the garden too.

During the lunch interval at the cricket I re-tuned to my fav. chill station (the station where I first heard Flying by Sine - my current sig.) and they played 3 of my favourite tunes. Starting with the sublime Zero Cult, then on to the pure-chill Finland & Aaskoven track. It's "goose-bumps" time when the beautiful acoustic guitar riff comes in at about a minute and then as if that was not enough up next came Manadalay's Beautiful - which for a while was in my sig. here at GH. By the time these three had finished I was fully chilled and floating - and then it was time to tune back to the cricket to hear India do a demolition job on the West Indies

Another scorching day on the sunlounger in the garden listening to the cricket commentary.

England HAD to win their last 2 matches in the initial stage of the ICC World Cup..... well we beat India last Sunday and today we beat new Zealand by a big margin of 119 runs so a semi-final place is guaranteed. Depending on how the last matches pan out it looks like we will play India next Thursday and if/when we win that then it will be on to Lords for the final, playing the winner of the other semi-final - almost certainly to be between New Zealand and Australia

Today it's England v Australia in the ICC Cricket World Cup semi final with the winner to go through and play New Zealand in the final on Sunday. So far so good with England having a dream start. There's a long way to go and we have to bat later today but Australia (the old enemy) are having a torrid time of it.

It's not over until it's over …. but it's going very well. We had the Ozzies bowled out cheaply for just 223 and got of to a cracking start with our batting innings
