What the fuck happened with GH about 45 minutes ago?

I visited GH earlier today - in early afternoon if I remember correctly - and everything looked normal.

But about 45 minutes ago, I was going to login again to do some posting - and I just couldn´t !!!

I was referred to some totally different URL. I tried again and again, but no, no, no...

I checked if I had the correct URL - and yes, it was good old "www.gayheaven.org", but not at all the good old screen picture. ( I think it was some creepy company called "OWNED", and if I remember correctly, there´s been an ad from this company on our login before....).

When I tried again some 20 min later, all was back to normal again - and I was a happy guy again !!

If please some if the puter wizards in the community could explain what they think could have happened.

It was a scary thing to be totally cut off from GH, pray it don´t happen again!

I had this too. I sent a message to the admin.

That OWNED site looks rather silly but harmless. Still I would rather that didn't happen again.

The same thing happened to me, but that was more like 2,5h ago. And then suddenly everything was back to normal. Weird... :thinking:

Not sure what the problem was, but I had a brief talk with Casanova when I discovered it, and he and Daedalus and DBOL777 were already on it.

Daedalus sent an email to the forum owner and technical person and they responded very quickly to get us back running again.

It was someone who hacked into the forum and redirected the forum to that blog site, i know because i was logged into the forum that time it happened while posting, I contacted 1 moderator and 1 admin here via Msn and one of them told me it looked like a hacker, but everything seems to be back to normal now, I changed my login password here just in case since i was logged in and stuck at the time it happened.

Hit User CP and when you're there under Settings & Options you'll find how to edit your pwd

I also had the same problem for about an hour.

I feared an act of force, see what's happening around.

Fortunately it was a false alarm.

I followed the example of Prince and indications bafm.

earlier today when you clicked on the gayheaven.org website it instead of going to gay heaven jumped to a website that was titled "Owned". It was kind of scary cause I thought my computer got infected or something.

I haven't had issues with my computer so far, at least nothing out of the regular or ordinary. Anyway, later in the morning (MST) it seemed to have been fixed as we are all typing away now.

Well I'll be surprised if they only defaced the site and not leave any backdoors- admin has to check that out. With regard to the password, I'm pretty much sure that VB encryption will hold
