We're having a snowstorm in Boston. They called it a blizzard, but then needed a new word.
Bombogenesis!
So I'm in the middle of a bombogenisis. Lots of wind; at least 2 feet of snow.
It winds down this evening.

Temperatures are pretty meaningless when the wind speeds are around 65 - 85mph (105 - 135kph)

Forecast for where I live was showing winds up to 78mph (it's usually never higher than around 45 even for really bad storms) - I never left the house today!

The max wind recorded today was 122mph (196kph) at the Isle Of Wight and some parts of Scotland were expecting a foot (300mm) of snow



Looks like Eunice is going on a European tour - she's done Ireland & UK and passed through The Netherlands heading for Eastern Europe via Germany - keep your heads down!

the max wind recorded here was about 100kph 2 or 3 yrs ago...it was horrible...but 196kph!!! can not imagine! thoughts and prayers to all those affected...

We had a weird bit of weather yesterday in Boston. It was a cold but sunny day. Without warning, white out snow and wind! In 10 minutes, an inch of snow fell.
Then, it stopped. And the sun returned.
