It's been typical fall weather here in Boston. But we haven't had a day of decent rain since June. Extreme drought. Brush fires.
But....Thursday we're forecast to get an inch of rain! It won't end the drought, but it's a start.

It was a bitterly cold -5 C with a stiff breeze this morning but forecasters are saying that Saturday it will be a min of +8 and a max. of +15 ... so just 20 degrees warmer! Crazy

Yeah that's truly crazy - up to +15 in late November!

As I wrote on Tuesday we've had some snow - about 2-3 millimeter yesterday, and about 2 centimeters today, so not particularly much. But in other parts of Sweden, in particular the regions close to the Baltic Sea, they've had up to 50 centimeters since last night and very windy.

9deg at the moment but that is irrellevant as Storm Darragh is just about to arrive here in the UK. For about the next 36 to40 hours we will have heavy rain and strong winds. "Happily" where I am we are due gusts of only up to 60mph. I say happily as in other areas they are forecasting winds of 90mph.

The Meteorogical Office has issued a RED Warning, which is vey rare here. They say powercuts are quite likely so today I made sure I have enough bread; cheese & tins of tuna..... and a full wine rack ;);)

Today is really cold. Currently it's 25 degrees F and with the wind chill, they say it feels like 20. I'm going to do everything I can to stay inside. Too bad I don't have a warm guy to cuddle up to keep me warm. Bwahaha!

I've been spoiled with a 'warm front' that kept the last 2 weeks unseasonably warm for December, but today we're getting a subfreezing warning and we're expected to start seeing 15-17 degrees F temperatures with chances of snow/ice. This is my first winter in this townhouse. So I'm hoping it stays warm and isn't too drafty.

Similarly here in the UK most of us have had mild temperatures the last 2 to 3 weeks but winter has returned with temps dropping below freezing at night and not much above during the day. They forecast snow for last night but I didn't get any - more forecast for tonight and all day tomorrow... we shall see

In my parts of Sweden we've had a beautiful winter day with blue sky and sunshine all day long, but it's also freezing cold - right now it's about -15 C.

We're in for bit of weather here in Boston.
It's just starting to snow. Six inches overnight.

Then the winds from western Canada will be blowing in for a few days. Early Tuesday and Wednesday morning, the wind chill will be -6 degrees f.
I think I'll just hibernate for a few days.
