August is normally a scorcher in Southern Calif., but for the second summer in a row is has been quite cool especially down near the beach where I live. Today it was some where around 75 degrees . Now, 11:30 P.M. it is about 63 degrees. I can't ever remember an August where didn't leave the windows open to catch the ocean breezes. They're closed tonight.

Today's max temp was about 25C, as I discovered to my surprise when I walked out to go to the corner shop, dressed in jeans and fleecy jumper in preparation for another chilly winter's day.

My PC tells me that it's 31C but factoring in the 66% humidity, it feels like 37C. My PC runs Windows so what the hell does it know.

Today's weather here in Sydney OZ was so cold and raining that the max temp was 19°C but in the morning it was 9°C and very foggy, but sadly
