eggs and tomatoes

INGREDIENTS

Onion, Very ripe tomatoes, n. 4 Eggs, 4 Basil leaves, Extra virgin olive oil, Salt

Peel the tomatoes and cut them into small pieces. In a large, low pan, brown the onion in the oil, then add the tomatoes and cook so that a thick sauce is formed. Add the beaten eggs, salt and stir continuously for a few minutes until the mixture has thickened. Flavor with chopped basil leaves.

Pasta with broccoli, garlic and cheese. This stuff used to so cheap to make but the price of the ingredients creeps slowly up and up. One day we'll look back and say "remember the good old days when we could afford to eat pasta"

Ah, economical (!?) pasta, how we love you... quick to cook and easy to make interesting! :p

This is less a case of what is for dinner, and more a case of what is not and never will be for dinner. I bought a box of samosas but it was only after getting them home did I notice that these were mixed, some chicken some veg instead of all veg like I usualy get. If I served my husband anything with chicken in it my life would not be worth living. The answer was in the small print, the ingredients list said the vegetable samosas contain poppy seeds, the chicken ones do not so it was a case of keeping the ones with the little black dots, the seeds, and throwing out those with none. And so disaster was avoided and dinner was saved.

I'm going to attempt to make a mushroom soup using a slow cooker. I found a recipe that calls for all these different types of muscles that looks amazing.
