This just must be the latest cinematographic take on the famous novel "Les Miserables" by Victor Hugo, published in 1862. There are shiploads of earlier movies and a musical based on this novel - definitely one of the most famous French novels of the 19th century.

Yea that's correct - this film is based on Victor Hugo's novel but transferred in our time of today. --- Very recommended, but really not an easy evening entertainment!

I was just a kid when I watched the classical French movie version from 1958 on Swedish television, with Jean Gabin as Jean Valjean. Watching it was quite an experience.

This thread asks you which movie you just have watched. Well - so far so good - but to tell us only the title is more than boring and has zero value for the reader.
A little more information would be very nice and helpful. There is no need to write a novel but only was it in your opinion a good or a bad film; would you recommend it or not.
