Time to re-watch this thoroughly enjoyable feel-good movie! A great cast (OK so it's got James Corden in it too); excellent script from Alan Bennet; great acting (OK so excepting James Corden)... not to mention the great 80's soundtrack from the likes of Echo & Bunnymen; New Order; The Smiths; The Clash and The Cure :thumbs up:

This clip has a great line from Rudge (Russel Tovey) when asked "How do I define history..?":rofl::rofl:

"Final Account". A solid documentary in the "German Guilt" (over concentration camps, etc.).

Double bill of classic feel-good movies.....

A stellar cast (Dames Judi Dench & Maggie Smith; Bill Nighy; Penelope Wilton; Tom Wilkinson: Ronald Pickup; Celia Imrie; Dev Patel. A stellar script, beautifully filmed in majestic Rajasthan (Jaipur) and evocative soundtrack....what's not to love?!

2nd watch for this dark satirical black comedy from Yorgis Lanthimos. Stars Colin Farrell; Olivia Coleman; Ben Wishawl; John C Reilly and Rachel Weisz

I enjoyed the re-watch but this time around I found the second half to drag a little more than it did the 1st time around - still recommended though

What's eating Gilbert Grape (1993), dir. Lasse Hallström, Johnny Depp as Gilbert Grape, Leonardo di Caprio as Gilbert's mentally-disabled younger brother Arnie.

I've watched this film almost umphteen times before but I had actually forgotten how damn good this movie is. In particular the interaction between Depp and di Caprio is stunning and so very moving.

The reason for my re-watch was that I remembered that it's Lasse Hallström's 75th birthday.
