Is this as bad as everyone says it is? Yes, they don't come any worse. The singers sing but not to the music, which has no tune. The dancers dance but not to the music, which has no rhythm. Alfred Newman will spin in his grave to think that this rubbish is what now passes for a musical. But I must say this in it's favour. It depicts Charles as an immature selfish cunt and his mother as a cold blooded cynic, so three out of ten for factual accuracy if nothing else.
