Q: The film contains numerous references to and observations about Slovenian society and the national mentality. Is this something you are particularly interested in?

Darko Štante: Yes; I think filmmakers and artists in general should be aware of the social environment they are living in. Personally, I simply have to observe it and reflect on it. I’m very interested in the mentality of Slovenian society. We are a small Central European country influenced by all of its neighbours, but sometimes I have the feeling that it is only absorbing the worst of those influences.

To anyone who has seen any prison / reform school film, there is nothing really new about this except a) it is set in Slovenia and b) there is no shower-based male rape scene.

Anyway, the plot is good, the acting very good; so my advice for you is to see this film.

I've tried to find subtitles in a language I'll understand ---- but nothing! So another good movie will passing by! ~X(

The film was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2018. In Germany it was released in April 2019. I'm sure the subtitles will be available very soon!

Thanks for the info. But until today I haven't heard from this film here. I hope you will be right and perhaps it will give as well a German subbed version. I'll looking for.
