wow, i just looked at my rapidshare accts, and this is what they say...

collectors acct: Fraud detected, Account xxxxxxx: This Account has been locked by our Abuse-Team.

premium acct: Fraud detected, Account xxxxxxx: This Account has been blocked, as PayPal has withdrawn the payment. It is possible that you have filed a complaint with PayPal.

fuck in hell, i dont use paypal, i just use my points, anyone else have a prob?

hmmm, just tryed to dl a link of mine and this is what it said: This file is suspected to contain illegal content and has been blocked. After the file has been blocked for 7 days it will automatically be deleted, if the block is not removed by RapidShare. For this reason, a download of this file is currently not possible.

I really never understand people using all these strange hosts like having to wait 60 secs to download, and can't download again for 3 days etc!!

Mediafire is FREE and so simple and all users can get multiple downloads , so why don't they use it??

Thanks, I've been saying that for years. I'm in a few non-porn sharing communities and Mediafire and and Megaupload are pretty much the standard there. No one uses Rapidshare. I never understood why all the porn-sharing communities have this hard-on for Rapidshare.

I only have an account with them to download easily. They do work well at a cheap price.

I use Mediafire for other stuff all the time (not connected with porn!) and it's a great storage site, plus it means if you lose stuff off your hard drive it's still there wherever you are in the world!!

All this obsession with these strange hosts just beats me, when this is so simple.

I have had a Rapidshare premium account for 2 years - really nice and fast to download stuff. But now that I want to share and upload stuff - my uploads most often times out at 96-97 percent and the upload stops - and the file have not been uploaded.

Sometimes it says in the adressbar - uploaded files=0:forbidden files=1

Do you think Rapidshare has some software that can detect files uploaded, that has already been deleted for violating copyrights?

Last time I gave up uploading a file after it timed out 3 times and the file was not uploaded - I had to use mediafire - and that seems to work fine.

I have a premium RS account in more than 6 months now...never had any problems with it and more, i also gave the pass to some friends once in a while so they can dld some stuffs here and there... I have around 25 Gb upl ...mostly muzik... Anyways, here`s the thing with RS: everything you upl, put it in an archive with password! Sometimes, if not almost always, if you try to upl the password protected archive itself, RS won`t accept it cause of the pass...so what I do is archive the file, create a new folder with a different name ..like: "backup0123" or something, put the pass protected archive in the folder and archive the folder without any pass.And it works. One hint to keep your uplded files on RS: don`t use the name of the file in the archive cause they`ll delete it. As an example, don`t upl "X-men.Origins.Wolverine.part1.rar, part2.rar etc." cause they`ll delete the files. It`s forbidden. Instead, you can use an alternate name like: "backupX4Wolv" or something...and password protected of course! Oce I`ve uplded 2 files on RS for a friend. Just for her. Gave the links only to her. She dlded the files and after about 2 or 3 hours, when I checked it said: 2 downloads for each file! I asked her if she dlded the files twice, she said NO...so it was the RS team or somehing...

Well, X...as you said, you too are using a RS account to dld... maybe you keep on paying monthly or every 3 month or every 1 year for a RS account but, most of the "youngs" here, they just upl stuff on RS for the points...every 10.000 pts, 1 month of RS premium. Apparently they took off the rapid points so, now it`s difficult to raise 10.000 pts... I only paid for 3 months when I opened the acc and after that, just converted the points into premium months

And admit it, the dld speed on RS with a premium account is SUPER! With Mediafire I only reach 100 Kb/s... for a HD mov @ 6-7 Gb to dld....rs works!
