When did the meaning of twink change?

It used to be that twinks were young smooth skinned guys (soft golden and full of cream) but now most movies I find advertised as twinks are guys in the 20's and 30's often with hairy chest that look more like what I remember as street punks or toughs on the old film labels.

I tend to mistakenly refer to weedy teens as twinks quite often.

it is confusing, for me the classic definition of a twink is 28-21, smooth, skinny, and rather fey, but I've noticed more and more twunks (musclur twinks) and twinks with hair and/or lots of tats. Frankly I like the new generation as being more distinctive and frankly usually better at sex then the classic twink

"Twink" is a sales factor, but 18-21 actors are probably harder to get in front of the camera. I'm quite pissed off by the fact that a lot of studios advertise for their products with ph0t0shopped cover pictures that show "classic" twinkie faces, but when you later watch the movie or look at screenshots the guys look much older.

Another thing comes to my mind: something like ten years ago, B3l Am! had all the hype with stars like J0han, I0n or Luc4s, and by that time they were really gorgeous and twink-like in the classical meaning. The stuff that studio produces today is very different, and doesn't attract me the same way. Would be interesting to see sales statistics.

when the internet first began the very young fellows were considered tweens and pics posted were 16 and up--as the government hadnt put a limit onhow people accessed the net for other countries so there were alot of tweens posted which then were fellows ages 16 to 21 but now the laws in the usa are 18 and up so these aged fellows became to be known as twinks--but in some countries 16 is still legal so government regulated what is and isnt allowed to be viewed in the usa--sometimes few sites get by but dont last for long

that's my definition , but sites such has SC and CF has completely change the definition. now any smooth, ripped guys are labeled as twinks.

I think it really changed when Brent Everett popped on the scene. He redefined what we think of twinks.

But I never thought of Brent or the boys at Corbin Fisher as twinks, I always referred to them as "jock boys" or "muscle pups", etc..

I don't believe the meaning of "twink" has ever changed at all.

But what I do believe is that some studios use the term "twink" in a misleading way to drag more viewer's attention and therefore gain more buyers. The same way posters here label their posts as "twinks" to gain more downloaders.

I posted lot's of real twinks (18-19 yo boys) in the past and there were always 100 too 300 thanks hits per post! The more boyish looking the models were the merer users hit the thanks button.

To me this is a proof that the meaning of twink hasn't changed in people's minds, maybe only advertising of porn has become more misleading at some studios.

ripped guys arent twinks--and guys that are too ripped and muscular are a major turn off to me--i like my twinks thin smooth young looking---and for a muscular ripped guy to try to act like a man and twink at same time needs to get over himself and admit to himself that he isnt a twink no more

I don't think the meaning has changed, it may be misrepresented sometimes by unscrupulous porn mongers that wanna suck you in but generally we all know that a twink is a twink..ie a sexy, cute n smooth very horny young man
