I have great admiration for Ireland's only openly gay Senator - David Norris. He's a real character, and very unusual for his generation. He's also announced that he's running for President of Ireland next year, and what's even better is that he stands a genuine chance of winning!

I have a lot of admiration for Quentin Crisp. Now there was a man who had balls. He lived in a time and place where his particular lifestyle, which involved among other things dressing like a woman, got him ridiculed and frequently resulted in him getting physically assaulted. He did it anyway. Basically he said to the world "This is who I am, so fuck you."

Sascha Konietzko. He got me into doing music and even taught me a few things personally. He's great despite people saying he has ego issues and isn't nice, those people may have had experiences, but I think he is nice.

I have a lot admiration for Barack Obama. I believe he is our century's Martin Luther King. He's very intelligent, and gets a lot of backlash as well as no applause or credit for so many things that he has accomplished since being in office and yet, he keeps moving forward in such a cool, mild-mannered fashion. The one thing that makes me admire him more is the fact of how he makes the attempt to have both parties, Democrats and Republicans meet each other halfway. He also emphasizes the fact that you can express your own opinions, but it can be done in a respectable manner without insulting or disrespecting each parties beliefs.

However, it's also great when really young children are able to articulate valid points, because the so called mature adult opposition usually has nothing more than something like "if this happens, down the line you'll see were-wolfs and vampires marry. Do you want that, America?" :rofl:
