Why Asians are Popular with Caucasian???

This happened to me when I went to Germany for fieldworks a couples of week ago... Everywhere I went, they would be Germans buying me drinks, asking for my numbers and even offer to take me back to their places....

Ain't that the truth! Here in the USA I am average looking. But when I lived in Russia and India (and even when I lived in the UK) - I was exotic and special - turning heads when I walked into the room. :blushing:

I think it was Jesus who said that a prophet is without honor in his hometown. I don't know if he had cruising for guys in mind when he said that, but the concept applies. It's supply and demand - when your "type" is in short supply, the demand goes up. You become like that popular Christmas toy that everyone wants and no one can find.

So, kiriel, enjoy the attention! Foreign travel has its benefits.

my experience is quite different. when i lived in Canada I felt that being Asian (well granted i'm not really 100% asian but stil.... hehe) makes me more 'popular' and now I live in the Netherlands and people are just indifferent. they don't really dig Asians, i think the Dutch like hispanic, south americans, and black people more... that's just my observation thou

Well, I feel that Topdog has once again nailed the point, its just a classic example of "supply and demand" and kiriel experience is more of a coincidental thing, just happened that people there don't see much asians thus more enthusiastic around asians.

ps jon13lee: I really don't think the Caucasians think that way cuz, you don't see porn as a reflective impression of the general population of Caucasians too right?

Mostly for variety, I suspect. Same thing with food. Although some can subsist on chicken breast day after day, others will develop a real taste for darker and more flavorful meat.
