Why so few mods now ??

Guys GH has 87,921 members.....wow! but not enough mods imo.
I notice that there are only 2 streamer mods, who are 'super' mods... why is that is it as a different type of mod is needed for streams?

Anyway I just think that there should be more mods for a forum of this size. I have seen forums close due to no new mods especially on warez sites which can have lots of activity and posts. Even a few minutes here and there from each mod checking around could be a big help as 'many hands make light work'.

I don't want to be the one who whinges but will not do the job so for one I hereby am willing to help out.:blushing: However I probably have not done enough so others who are better known and forum regulars should get first consideration.

I'm always willing to help in the best way that I can. Right now its just been in reporting dead links to Mark_63 who quickly has them fixed. You guys are great. And thumbs up :thumbs up: to Unpredickedable and Warp9 who have helped me a lot.

I'm hoping to earn that streamers tag sometime, and maybe in the future, just maybe, be a mod just to find out what goes on in the background. :thinking:

I think there are so few mods, because being a mod is hard work and often quite thankless.

I did my time as a mod, it took a lot of energy out of me, and I had to call it a day after a year or two.

Those who continue as mods, supermods, and admins earn my respect for the time they donate to this great forum.

I couldn't agree more!. Out of interest I just had a look at the list of Supervips and of the 75 or so about 35 (including myself) have served on the staff at some time. And there are a few more ex-staff members who are also ex GH members so aren't on that list.
