It's all so relative. But wouldn't care for being a porn star, not that I would mind it either. And how does being a for example gay porn star affect on you getting a job? If your employer knows about you, well I think he would wanna at least see you for the interview And how would non-gay employers even know you?And saw the sad thread about the suicide. I don't think that being a gay porn star was the only reason. Badly depressed person finds the negative in everything, and finds lot to blame and regret, and sadly often depressed person founds those things to blame and regrets from himself, his own choices and actions, even though he sees things distorted through grimmening glasses.

Perhaps you are totally right Otage. Perhaps it was not the one and only reason for his suicide. But on the other hand - all of us are watching porn, we gay porn others hetero-porn. And I say everyone is a lyer who says he never has seen a porn film. That may be the simple worker as well as the big boss.
But nonetheless I think it will be very hard for all these young and good looking Czech porn boys to bail out of this "adult industry" and change sides to a so called civil job. And if someone has not the right self-assurance, well than it happens what happened! In the end he was a poor little boy, totally alone and totally desperate. I don't think that anybody could have helped him!
You can fill a small stadium with all the Czech guys who have done gay porn in the last 25 years. Few commit suicide because of their porn work. For many it was a relative easy way to earn some money, some did porn out of curiosity. These guys have moved on: they usually married, got some children and have a 9 to 5 job.

To Do Porn or Not
I have thought about being a porn actor for a long time, but haven't committed to applying to do it; I'm not a fan of the "acting". If it was just me and another guy and they say "go at it" I probably wouldn't mind so much. But have a few friends that have done the real porn and say it's not as easy as it looks because of all the direction and having to film for "production quality". Plus the fact that once a video is out there, it is out there forever. Not sure if I'm up for that. I've been filmed just for personal use when I hook up with someone. Maybe I will, maybe I wont. It's still up in the air really.

I agree that the "acting" is sometimes forced and having a director, and a bunch of other people, in a small space and telling you what to do would definitely be a turn-off for me. And the directors sometimes fuck things up, especially when you can see the actors watching them for direction. On the other hand, being with a hot, horny guy and just another guy with a camera and just being told to "go at it" could be fun!
