Xenubox --> unbanned again

I want to draw attention to what I am about to relate.

This afternoon I decided to download a video.
The full video is approximately 1.24 GB, divided into two parts.
The host selected from the uploader is as follows:



a new host, at least one that I have never seen before.

To download the first part I had to wait 10 minutes :waiting: before the program activates the "captcha", then started the download process.
More than 7 hours to download the first part (700 MB).

I am active to download the second part, and to my amazement , I read on the page that appeared to me:

"You have to wait 3 days, 14 hours, 16 minutes, 26 seconds till next download" ~X(

Look at the picture to believe it.



I know, we must have to have patience because of the stormy time of filehost today, but everything has a limit. X_X

may be you need contact xenubox support first about this problem and only after this begin to cry here ? You have Super Vip status but acting like a kid.

I send mail to support and here their answer :

Hi **** ! Thank you for contact us. We have checked the settings which you mentioned and found some errors this happened after last backup 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the report, now all fixed. If you have more questions let us know.

There is no reason to insult bigsal here and I also don't see any reason to contact any support before writing a post about one's opinion. Plus the thread is 4 days old. You didn't care, when xenu was still allowed but now you get active? If you are so helpful, why don't you help right away (and without insults)?

Of course it was just the backup. And what exactly do they mean with "some errors"?

I'm currently testing the filehost and maybe the 10 minutes delay has gone but it still takes over 5 hours to download 600 mb (30 kb/sec). We will see how long one have to wait to be able to download the next file.

I dont know what meant "some errors", i mean in my mail only speed, download delay and time after each download

Free - 60 sec
Registered - 30
... just about as in other filehostings

Dont keep us for fools. You start this topic only with one reason - ban this host. Isn't it ? I saw your opinion in Speedstarter's thread but it was not enough for you. I would not be surprised if you open a fan club on Facebook against this host and at the same time will say that "I do not care that this host is banned or not."

Hopefully we now can contiune talking about this in an objective way without any accusations.

In this thread the opinion about this thread was negative and noboday having something positive to share did tell about it.
It had been tested by different staff members so we came to the conclusion that his file host is very much beyond standard.

e.g. Yesterday the max. I got was about 25-30kb/s with 1 file. Wanting to download the next one was about 1 day+ and in contrast to filestay/asfile the waiting didn't get significanlty less after a few times refresing the page a few times and waiting for a few minutes.

Today it's a tad better for me and seemingly for other members.
The ban won't be lifted now but we might reconsider when it gets more stable .

the host was banned because of it extremely substandard service.

frankly, with the 10 minute captcha and the download speeds ibeing reported, i can see no reason to change that, even if you no longer have to wait over 3 days for the next available download.

it is the performance for free users that our judgements must be based on.

if and when the performance for free users improves, then the host might be allowed again

as in the process of the decision to ban, we will test, and retest to confirm, from free options in several global territories, for improvement of the service, and then make a decision.

we do not make any of these decisions, positive or negative, instantly: and all decisions are made from an international perspective. that takes a little time.

Different staff members have tested it for the last few days.
After I have gotten the last reply I needed today we have noticed that the file host has improved and is at a level of other files hosts which are still allowed so we decided to

revise our decision to ban xenubox . com and allow it again.

It's not considered a good host but acceptable.

It also had been removed of the 'Banned File Host List.'
