Being unconventional, no birds of any sort on our menu today.

We had a late brunch of smoked salmon with cream cheese, fresh cracked pepper, and a choice of tomato slices of a squeeze of lemon with nice fresh coffee + real cream.

The weather was really nice, so I spent much of the afternoon out on my bike getting some exercise and enjoying the wintry countryside.

Then for dinner we had traditional Belgian vegetable soup that I prepared yesterday to start, then lamb, baked potatoes with cheese, honeyed carrots, and stir-fried Brussels Sprouts with nutmeg for the main course, and a traditional Irish Christmas Cake with a nice glass of Baileys for desert.

All in all a very enjoyable day's eating :)
