I think I'll have to add some of the late 70s too...
When ihno was very very little...
I was into the usual stuff that was available in West-Jirmeny at that time.
my fave character was the Frankfurt teacher Frl. Rottenmeier. Impersonating her, little ihno even once destroyed a window in the garage of his parents . The window was Heidi you know and I guess "she" received a good spanking or something...
This really was a deeply depressing show and to make the pain go away I always jumped out of the window in an attempt to end my life after each episode but the TV-room was on earth level.
And there was Biene Maja of course...
when ihno was a little older
I was always was wondering, how Cpt. Future would go to the toilet.
I'd have to go back to the 70s too, always loved this cartoon version of Spiderman, and it probably had reruns in the 80s
I know this is even older but love the American voice over version of Tin Tin, used to watch this every night before the news came on when I was still a wee lad
Tin Tin... never liked that. Though there were never films with Tin Tin, only the comics which some friends had and loved (not me though ).
@MaximumT: I've watched He-Man too but was already old enough to see, how cheesy these moral-statements and the end were.
Do you have a cartoon with your bannerboy?
What I really loved (okay, technically not really a cartoon... ) were the various czech fairytales and series for children like Arabela or Pan Tau. Don't know if they were popular in other countries than Czechoslowakia and Germany.
I remember when I took my sister who was 6 at the time to the cinema to watch the first Pokemon movie. During this scene every kid in the theatre was crying their eyes out..... Not me of course
Tao Tao, one of my absolute favorites (Finnish dub)
Anyone know the English name for this:
Thanks to this I understand what my doctor is talking about
Well, this is not a cartoon, but I couldn't resist... The one and only Pippi (Peppi in Finnish) for me
And the Moomin, created by Tove Jansson (Finnish) and then made into cartoon/anime (?) by Japanese and then translated into Finnish :?
Oookay, complicated, but still so nice
When I was young cartoons were placed in the newspaper. Black and white drawings. Every day one episode. The end of the fifties "Tom Poes" (Tom Cat), produced by Marten Toonder.
Three drawings and below that a lot of text lines.
Some years later, the beginning of the sixties appeared "Linke Loetje" (Andy Capp), fantastic English humor.
At the end of the sixties cartoons with moving pictures got popular.
