That seems to be changing. In the past, our immigrants were excited, but not the natives. The last time Brazil won the cup, my neighborhood went crazy...because we have lots of Brazilians here.
This year, the sports bars are full when the USA plays. And there were several house parties around here (post college people). I could tell from the cheers and groans. Still mostly casual fan, of course.

Thanks for the thread Haiducii! Suprised there isn't more discussion here but this has been fun. I'm a US fan who has always turned their nose up at soccer until I actually sat down and started watching and YEAH it was fun!

The games have been good and its great to see all the excitement worldwide. Interest in the US was amazing so hopefully that's a good sign for the future. Belgium got the best of us today but the US went down swinging and theres always 2018 to look forward too!

NOW who should I root for??

Interest in the US was amazing so hopefully that's a good sign for the future.

I heard that 24 million people in the USA watched game against Portugal. More than NBA or NHL Finals!!!
