I've been saying for a very long time now that if the governments of the western world continued with their current policy towards terrorist groups the people would become resentful and fascism would begin to raise it's ugly head again...

no ! said like this that's wrong !

25% of the expressed votes were for the FN ... The participation was about 50% !

But what is really 'terrifying' ... the classic right party, UMP, has started some month ago, to hunt for the voices of potentiel FN-voters.
And today, the only difference in the political programm between FN and UMP is their positions on the European Union and the euro : UMP is for the EU and the euro, the FN against. THAT'S THE ONLY DIFFERENCE ...

Y E S Brmstn69 - you are totally right. Democracy is a wonderful thing and I hope we will never loose it. But democracy cannot mean to protect criminals like those in Frankfurt/Main - where a madding crowd of absurd hooligans destroyed private properties and throwing Molotov-cocktails into full up policer cars. The official politicans only said they have been shocked and that such things are "not allowed to happen"! And that's all - oh yes we are a democracy and we have the right to demonstrate - oh yes I forgot it.

These things for instance will bring the voters to the right wing parties in Germany, in France, Italy and wherever!

I believe that the biggest issue that Europeans are facing is the decade long economic stagnation. This situation, as it did in the past, exacerbates the frustration of European citizens who find in minorities the perfect scapegoat for their ills. This is not new, it is dangerous, and it is inescapable. European governments need to have an open debate about immigration with their people and above all about the place of the E.U. I don't think that the Union is contributing to the welfare of most people anymore and many countries, just like Greece, are living above their means, it is unhealthy and unsustainable in the long term. Democracy will be the first casualty if things go wrong, it happened before with the democratic rise of nazism and fascism and their not so democratic rule. The Front National is a perpetual opposition group that gathers angry or punitive votes from the French but I don't believe it's leader, Marine Lepen, will ever make it to the Élysée. The French have an image of what France should look like, and an FN-led France isn't it. However, as seen during the protests against marriage equality a couple years ago, the FN can yield a very disruptive influence and has to be constantly monitored and opposed. Good luck France!

Well, I live in a small village amongst woods and cows in the country...
No muslims here, not even tanned skin or black illegal guy around....
Just narrow minded white middle-class type, fed with TV reality shows.

50 % for The National Front here..and it's the same in the villages around....

The National Front is an Extreme Right Party...created in the Early 80's by Jean-Marie Le Pen..
He's now too old and it's his daughter Marine Le Pen who is the President of it.

She tries to smooth things over to get new votes from the people but the ideas of this party are the same.

It's a racist and nearly fascist party....

This is the disastrous result of the recent leftist governments, with the complicity of the European Union, which have moved away from the real needs of citizens, and follow more and more the "sirens" of the lobby and finance, giving enormous power and uncontrollable to ECB and commissioners incompetent and harmful.

A strong signal was given at the last European elections, but the caste of Brussels and Strasbourg preferred to bury their heads in the sand and continue his shady dealings.

So do not be surprised if you are returning fastisti and Nazis, cause and effect are always connected.

You have to stop to think oppostion right (serious, conscious, thrifty, lower taxes, etc pp)- left (social spending, higher taxes, army depense cuts, etc)! Bush left a huge deficit, a poor economy, a war without chance to win and Obama had no choice to accept this heritage and did what he could, and always with the 'help' of congress or senate or both !

In France, Sarkozy gave presents of millions / billions of taxeuros to the industry and service companies, the banks and insurance, without asking for garanties. Holland had to accept this situation. And being socialist, the economy made no effort to help him.

The exception is Germany. It was the left (SPD) which reformed (disatriously) the economy. And Merkel gave presents to all the rich. To the point that the German army is no longer operationnel ... one of the reasons why Merkel is opposed to an armed conflict in Ukraine ...

And what about the rightist governments.....?

The right-wing governments, though despicable, are always predictable, you already know what they think and what attuarenno in their electoral program.

The governments of the left, those that should be closer to the less well-off, promising more social programs and welfare for all, but then promptly do not implement anything of what they had promised.

Years pass and the poor are increasing more and more, while the rich (few) are getting richer. That's why right-wing parties gain more ground. Not because they take more votes, but because it goes to vote less and less people, because sickened by politicians to whom we trusted with the our vote.

Wealth is increasingly concentrated in the hands of a few people, who are getting richer. The European Community, now "European Union" is born with good intentions, but then bowed to the wishes of the banks and big powers.

My analysis is of a person with low social status. Obviously those who are well financially, he does not care to change things.

Only those who want to keep the slices of ham in the eye, does not notice of this malaise, or who, thinks only of her backyard, indifferent to social problems.

A FFI has grabbed a Front Wheels Drive to the Germans during the Occupation. At this time there were "terrorists" and now it is names of streets  (200000 deaths in 3 years)
Anyway today everyone has forgotten FFI and Front Wheels Drive :p
