the socialists obtain 31 departements, the classic right wing parties 56, the center (MODEM) 1.
Not all votes are comptabilized.

The extreme right (FN) scored high, but didn't win a departement.

the most recent analysis by 'Le Monde' talks about 'the FN failing the 2nd tour' ! They explain that out of 2054 elected representifs only 31 belong to the right wing extremists ...
