Actually....the investigation into 911 was fairly extensive. Lee Hamilton is someone I have known my whole life and I trust him. I have had many discussions with him about the conspiracy theories and he actually answered my questions to my satisfaction.

There are certainly unanswered questions as there always are with situations like this. However, the bulk of the evidence....and results of investigations....do support the basic story we all know. I have researched much of the conspiracy theories and the rebuttals to the theories.....so far...there are none I believe, but...I am always listening...

The truth I have come to accept and believe, is that it wasn't a conspiracy, but what it was...was an example of a very negligent government who knew something was up, but did such a poor job of protecting us...that it happened. To me..that's worse than the conspiracy theories...there is no theory necessary...only truth that the Bush and Clinton governments failed miserably.

Of course, there is an understandable desire in people to feel safe, to trust their government, to believe that only good can be pervasive, organised, structured, can endure etc. My take --PURE EVIL can be pervasive and organised and structured and it can endure. But psychologically we reject such a notion of human nature. People are always struggling to find that "happy place" to hide in.

I agree In! My theory has always been a very small cabal within the US government was looking for a reason to invade Iraq (and get rid of Saddam because he tried to kill his "daddy") They knew this attack was coming but did nothing and let it happen, so Americans would be outraged like Pearl Harbor and demand revenge - and the cabal would have an excuse to invade Iraq (which they did)

If this was the case, it had to be a very small group because so MANY firefighters and policemen were lost if it was a larger-scale conspiracy - SOMEONE would have blown the whistle by now. I know this does nothing to explain the collapse of Tower 7 but that's the smoking gun SOMETHING fishy happened that day that US government officials knew about...the question is who knew?

I understand...but the problem with all of this is there is no concrete, slam-dunk, smoking gun proof! No turncoats, no people who might have signed on but had a problem when 3000 INNOCENT people died:worried: for the "cause". And what's the endgame? A new and improved WW III??? NOW with CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS!!!!

(PS - Halliburton RAPED U.S. taxpayers for millions and MILLIONS of dollars for shitty "private contractor" services in Iraq - and we all know who hooked up that deal - Mr. Dick Cheney! Think HE had anything to do with all this bs?:-*

It's remarkable when Brezinski talks about the "awakening" and then says we could of course exterminate them... but we can't do that because we are a "democracy" (you can almost imagine him rolling his eyes on the latter point!). I can't believe he actually said "exterminate". Who the fuck are these people? I mean he is like 83, and he is still up to this divilment...

yeah - I know. (I had no idea he was actually still alive - seriously!) It is hard to understand and that's why I have a hard time accepting the fact that a human being could be so sick, so greedy, so EVIL they would betray their own humanity just to make more $$$$ or garner more power in their lives. For what? I know they're out there...I just don't understand it on a human level. I have a decent job - own a car and a house - plenty to eat and no real worries. I have great neighbors that I watch out for and they watch out for me...I'm happy! What more do I need? 8 more cars or a gigantic house? What kind of satisfaction would I get from that? I simply DO NOT understand the need to have more money or bigger crap than anyone else...NONE of those people seem really happy IMO

All I know for sure is that I will never forget and never forgive. Most of all it has made me vigilant about any religious fundamentalists - what ever they call their so-called peaceful religions and the heavy books they use to beat others up with. I have become so much less tolerant of religious people and what ever influence they try to get in any society.
Every one here has become less tolerant of especially muslims - all the time we hear about some muslims sitting and making bombs and just waiting to kill the infidels - we need small underground armies and intelligence services watching certain muslim groups under a microscope all the time and we have incredible strict immigration rules. The war on (muslim) terror will rage for long long time. It is so sad and is a huge challenge to our worldview, humanity, personal freedom and values - but we have to in order not to live in fear - taking a plane, riding a train, bus or metro train everywhere. I for one will never bow my head ..... 911 was a sad wake up call and I will never again trust or believe any so-called peaceful religions to influence societies for any good - whether they be Christian, muslims or whatever. Never again.

I understand what you're trying to say but not all muslims are that way, only the corrupt, those who have distorted the truth in their sick little minds, and lets face it, there are loads of corrupted people in this world which is what i don't understand. when the tpoic of 911 arises, so does the religion islam. I for one don't believe what the media tells me. Especially about who the culprit was or wasn't because at the end of the day, i wasn't there therefore i dont believe what i see on television or read about it, i try to think for myself which most people forgot how to. That incident truly is shrouded in a thick, dense fog of mystery which only those directly involved know the truth. We'll never truly know the real truth but my heart goes out to the ones who are hurt by this despicable act of tyranny

Here's another though about the "official" theory.

Imagine (ohh I just love imagining things!) that a few days after 9/11, there was this massive investigation. It concluded that the whole thing was rigged by elements within the US system. People are outraged! W. Bush is kicked out of office and detained pending a trial -crimes against humanity etc. Congress calls an emergency session and elects a new government.

Then... along come the far right, christians etc. and they say: we don't accept the findings of the investigation. Our theory is that our beloved W. Bush is totally innocent. 19 hijackers conspired with Prince Bin Laden to do it! There were no military explosives anywhere near the buildings.... the planes did it all!

We would all say the 19 hijacker theory was nutty. CNN and BBC journalists would all be on the ground with their legs in the air laughing at this nutty "conspiracy theory"!!!

Then Bush would go into hiding in a cave and.... like 8 years later.... everyone would STILL not be able to find him!

My point here is not to make a joke of the issue.... but to highlight the FACT that a very inadequate investigation is prolonging the pain and the doubt for everyone.

But who dares speak out? The many? or the few?
