A tribute to Victoria Wood (especially for Sniffit)

I was really sad to hear that the great female British comedian Victoria Wood has died. She was only 63, and had so much more to give us.

Re-living some of her greatest moments on YouTube I came across this video titled "The Political Correctness Gone Mad Song".

It's hillarious, but I have a feeling Sniffit will find it particularly enjoyable

Well that is sad news about Victoria's passing. But it has a silver lining for me. I might never have heard of this comic nor these entertaining and witty performances if she had lived longer than I do.

She expressed with humor how absurd the PC movement really is

She was a very talented humorist (she was much more than just a comic with the talent she displayed here) and I'll have to look up more of her routines on Youtube.

An not to forget the sublime spoof soap-opera "Acorn Antiques" - with the background street scenery moving, missed cues, bad camera angles and appalling dialogue etc and what a cast : Celia Imrie and Julie Walters

In interviews she always came across as being such a nice down to earth ,lovely person. So likeable.

The last thing I saw her in - 'Housewife, 49' - totally wowed me. Highly recommended.

When I'm channel hopping and come across 'An Audience With Victoria Wood', I always end up watching again. I even have the dvd. Never stops being funny. The only sad part is spotting the 80's celebs in the audience and realising that some are no longer with us.
And now, shockingly, Victoria Wood isn't either.

So talented in so many areas, and now we'll never get to know what else she might have come up with.

living in the UK I have had years to enjoy the hilarious work that Victoria Wood has produced for many other stars as well as herself. The stars seem to be going so quickly this year with Ronnie Corbett being another sad loss. RIP Victoria you will be remembered forever
and of course " two soups" will always be the phrase that reminds me of so many series you made with Julie Walters who is so devastated at your passing. you are very difficult act to follow.
