admins,,,please delete if this is off subject. the discussion has changed some and somehow it is now about members. I have no reason to doubt the number given in the previous post. But i wondor how you can tell those who are active and those who have joined but no longer come to GH. Some have past away no doubt and others loose interest over time. There is no way to know how many are active is there?:thinking:

You're absolutely correct and I was just going to answer dargelos and tell him just that - it isn't very meaningful to argue about absolute numbers, since - as you say - nobody can really know. :cheers:

Sorry if I veer offtopic, sure don't want to upset anyone, but I am trying to answer pinklee1's question. The board software will store all kinds of data which it can use to produce detailed stats showing exactly how active each member and category of member is, should the administrator need to know. This information will be as confidential as it is boring, so the answer is that even if no human knows, the software knows, the software knows everything. There is nothing sinister about this, it happens everywhere and I trust GH to respect my privacy, unlike Facebook which does abuse members information for gain. So, Gay Heaven is better than Facebook, but you knew that already.
