Well before even tackling that question, there is the underlying question you have to ask yourself: Is it a dealbreaker to you that he has a gf (or a bf) on the side? Or put another way, is monogamy a major priority?

If you guys are not serious/exclusive or are poly/non-monogamous, then you would have to discuss how a hypothetical gf would affect your relationship.

It may help you sort out your own feelings on the subject, and consider all sides of the issue, good and bad.

I am bi and if I were in a relationship with a bi girl the one rule I think I would make is that we could each sleep with people of the same sex (on rare occasions with the others foreknowledge and acceptance for each one) but not the opposite sex. But if it is supposed to be a totally monogamous relationship, then there should be none of that. Total monogamy is monogamy regardless of the participants., but regardless it should be decided by both in advanced. And hopefully before one has a wandering eye.

To me there is no difference. If you wouldn't want your boy or girlfriend sleeping with another guy then why is it acceptable for them to sleep with another girl ? I can't differentiate the two, a couple is a couple. If it's an open type relationship then does it matter which sex they go with ?

In true love I personally was never interested in anyone else, male or female, regardless of my general overall preference.

Well, first of all, you've mentioned that he has opened up to you in regard to him being a bisexual. Therefore, if you felt that this would be difficult for you to deal with, then maybe you should have re evaluated your decision to be involved. However, if you are bisexual yourself, then in order to keep things clarified, then you should have laid out some ground rules initially as to what is considered acceptable within your relationship that is agreeable with both parties involved.

I think that the comments here so far have been pretty good. Bisexual means having a wider pool from which to choose a partner. It does not mean that one has to fuck both boys and girls in order to be happy.

If your bf wants to have a girl on the side, then the issue is that he wants a non-monogamous relationship with you. How do you feel about that? Does it turn you on to think of your guy in bed with a woman? Would you want to watch? Participate?

It's your life, dude. This isn't the last guy on earth. But he has been very considerate in stating up front what he wants. You have to do the same. If you are not on the same page, then go find the person who wants the same thing that you want.

I had a boyfriend a while ago in the same situation. Sorta. He had a girlfriend first and I was the one on the side, but it never really bothered me. The girlfriend was apparently fine with it, provided I was a guy cause she didn't want him seeing other girls.
