We knew "Tea for Two", here is the TV movie "One Ferrari for Two"
(Une Ferrari pour deux - 2002)

Arrested for great speed excess, the trip is ending there or barely.
A hitchhicker is coming at the last minute and he will drive this happy Ferrari owner. The adventure can go on...

Ford Mercury Eight (the car of the bad boys in this movie)

Brand new Ford Vedette V8.
In the trunk, the "grisbi" : 96 kg gold in 8 bars of 12 kg (only 4 suitcases) . Some gold bars in a car trunk parked in a closed garage, it is one serious investment ! :thumbs up:

The Daimler Double Six was the queen's favourite car when she still did her own driving. The police escorting her complained that nothing they had could catch up with her majesty once she put her royal foot down. That was a very fast way to travel in the height of luxury. And of course, being a queen, she never got a speeding ticket.

Rover 2000 and 2200 TC

Presented at London motorshow 1963, the Rover 2000 surprised people by the modernism of its engine single OHC and its flexible suspension :
- big horizontal spring and rocker lever in front
- rear axle De Dion and disk brake in outlet of the hanging differential.
Very comfortable, some named it the English DS

Rover 2200 TC in 1974

Four aligned cylinder with single over camshaft (OHC) a little bigger than the 2 liter.
Two classical carburettors SU famous for its "bell"

Today we imagine these cars with one spare wheel on the trunk cover but it was only an option rarely ordered.

Rover 3500

In 1968, the recent V8 3,5 liter of the big Rover is assembled under the bonnet of the 2000. The model is named 3500 while the old up'market model, appeared in 1958 with a 6 aligned cylinder motor, is called 3 Liter and half. Notice one beautiful coupe 4 doors.

Rover 3500 S starting 1972

Leyland is proud to indicate it in its catalog 1977 ! :thumbs up:

Even if they have both one V8 3.5 liter engine, these two cars are not from the same category, price and size are very different.

77 is the last millesime for Rover 2200 and 3500, replaced by a new 3500 five doors with a classic mechanical (rigid rear axle).

Late Citroën Traction (1954 - 1957)
See # 1131 for models 1938 - 1948

13 years after their manufacture stopping, it is the return of the long body 6 windows. Some shy colours grey, blue or grey-blue are changing from the eternal black.

11 B

11 Commerciale

For the 20th anniversary of the Traction, in may 1954, a new rear hydropneumatic suspension is assembled on the 15/6. It allows to test the hydraulic circuit of the future DS. We recognize the 15/6 H by some longer torsion bars visible behind the front bumper. A front stabilizing bar is added.

The new 15/6 Familiale keep the classical suspension with torsion bars at the rear.

Drawings of Alex Kow for promoting the new engine 11D in May 1955.
(More 4 hp and around more 5 km/h)

15/6 models are left for the two last years of production.

29 July 1957 : ID and DS 19 are pushing the last Traction, a black 11 Familiale, toward the exit!
