156 : Around 2000, many episodes showing the 156 but, surprising, no photo of Matula at the wheel of this Alfa.


These photos are not from the serie "a case for two".

159 (2006 and after) : Only two photos of this nice car.





80 years old, Claus Theo Gartner, happy owner of a spider Alfa model 1993, is driving still today this beautiful cabriolet.

Three generations of Fiat 500

Fiat 500 aka Topolino or Mickey Mouse (1936 - 1949)
Simca 5


At Nanterre near Paris, Simca is licensed to do Fiat 500 (Simca 5) and Fiat 1100 - 508 C Nuova Balilla (Simca 8).

Expected as a front wheels drive, Fiat 500 has its little four-aligned-cylinder engine just behind the radiator gril.
In front of serious transmission issues, the engineer Dante Giacosa came back to a classic rear propulsion.

The French Simca 5 launched also in spring 1936.

The basic version has no bumpers.

Fiat 126 (1973 - 1992)


A fashionable body for the Fiat 500 plateform, Fiat 126 seem modern but we could find it less glamorous than a Fiat 500 L for example.

Fiat 126 bis from 1988, made in Poland.

Return of the Giardiniera principle with tilted motor and lateral air entrance to get two trunks, front and back.
This time the bi-cylinder is water cooled.

1992 : Close from the Fiat Panda, the new Cinquecento is not as cheap as the 126 bis, soon stopped.

Renault Frégate (1951 - 1960)

Dashboard and interior of the Frégate Transfluide. It is the name of the version "automatic gearbox", a simple converter connected to a classic gearbox two speeds.

Bigger back lights and weird decoration above it for the last Frégate.

Motor is the main difference between both :
1529 cm3 (78 x 80) for the 7B
1628 cm3 (72 x 100) for the 7C

Special features of the early 7 :
- Short gearshift and tachymeter in the middle
- Access to the trunk by the back seat
- Two ventilation shutters
- Shutters bonnet lever on the same side

- Chevrons behind the chromed radiator grill
- STOP wheels with clipsed wheeltrim.

Citroën Traction 7 and 11 L : The original drawing from 1934 to 1952.


In 1952, Flaminio Bertoni added a trunk barely integrated to his "work of art".

Three branchs wheel and thin front seats with the dangerous chromed bar indicate a pre-1950 model.

Amazing Matra 530 LX (with some SX headlights) restored by Aurélien, Gerry and their team for the TV program Wheeler Dealers France (RMC Découverte channel 24).

From René Bonnet Djet I (1964) to Matra Jet 6 (1967)


René Bonnet, independant constructor in 1962 after his separation from Charles Deutsch (DB Panhard) and his logo, the Capricorn. He is the creator of a little sportive coach, the Djet, powered by a Renault engine in central position.
He meets quickly some financial difficulties and he must let his company to Matra Group in october 1964. The coach become Matra-Bonnet then just Matra and the D letter of Djet is ... deleted.

The Djet is available in 4 versions, all equiped of a motor type Renault 8 improved by Amédée Gordini.
