I know exactly what sort of rough treatment he would get from me: First I'd bang him hard on his head with my copy of Joyce's "Finnegans Wake", shouting aloud "This is to shut you up you silly little prick!", and then I'd get out the heavy artillery: Force the idiot to learn Wittgenstein's "Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus" by heart, and - mind you!!! - in the German original.

I know how you feel, but at the moment I'd be sort of happy to be insulted by a librarian...… as it would mean that they were open again. Currently in UK, as in many other countries, our Libraries are all closed due to you-know-what
