I submitted that bill along with Easy-Share, FileFactory and several others a long time ago... But it got vetoed...
Well, actually I suggested we only allow Rapidshare, Megaupload, SendSpace, & MediaFire. And all others would be banned...

I don't have any problems with Depositfiles..I did see a post regarding a couple of hints.. if I can find it I'll copy it over ..one hint was to ensure you close down the annoying PartyPoker pop-up BEFORE you start the d/load. I always did this anyway so cannot comment on the difference it might make.

I've found the tips I mentioned earlier...
From Voyager:
I too always had problems with DepositFiles until I DL the Deposit File Manager. You can find this under "tools" on the Homepage for Deposit Files.
After I did this, I have been able to DL, placing several files to be downloaded, and not being a "gold" member, it stays waiting to be DL when the time is up.
From DrJay:
Don't start down loading until after you have killed the "poker game add" or if you are running linux until you have closed the "FlashPlayer download and the Poker game add"
If you start the download before you kill these pop ups deposit file will never complete the download.
That's been my experience running linux fedora core 8 and above. Don't ask me why it just is.
From spideidol:
another tip for getting complete downloads from deposit files is if it gives you an option to download from a mirror after the 60 second timer runs out download from the mirror as i have never had a download stop from the mirror site! This is just my expierience.

UPDATE --
When Voyager posted about the DF Manager I thanked him, then got it and started using it, and reported it was working for me too.
I think it d/l directly from a mirror site, or FTP. Popups are never a problem.
The file fails in the middle about 1 out of 5 times (manually was 9 of 10 failures.) The manager tags it "error" and sometimes it resumes, sometimes not, but you can move it in the queue or delete and move on.
However, I also now pass on 60% of posts using depositfiles.
