Use a condom, and get yourselves tested for the viruses to make sure.
If you are both Negative, then you can have sex without condoms, but only once you know for sure you are both negative and keep yourselves to each other.

Read back what I have wrote and what Topdog has written... if you can't make your mind on this, you should not have sex without a condom. If you are scared of diseases than you answered your own question.

You are surrounded by germs anyway, and there's a very good advise coming from Topdog in this thread... YOUR HANDS Are filthy organs... if you touch wash them often before, after sex you shouldn't worry so much... no human being is a clean slate...

Read my more detailed post here on dealing with the little animals that like to make a home inside us and make us sick.

All in all, it's not that difficult. To prevent sexually transmitted diseases, use a condom. To prevent bacterial and parasitic infections, wash your hands with soap and warm water as soon as possible. Before you pick up that cigarette and light it; before you pop a breath mint in your mouth for that after-sex cuddle. Before you touch your phone, wallet, clothes, a door knob... Everything you touch before washing you contaminate, and those objects can carry the lil' hitchhikers on to the next person.

Doing these two simple things take the risks way down, and should set your mind at ease.
