I'm a good cook, I think, my specialty being pasta/sauces and pies, I can do pretty much anything else if I have the recipe though, but I always end up changing it cuz I like to try diff fillings, spices and herbs xD

How young are you??

Don't you think that tasty healthier food is better? Burgers & chips are not good when you're young. I don't want to sound like some old git. I hated my school dinners, but it was always decent food! Chips were a special occasion. It protects you when you get older to have vitamins when you're young. It's not appreciated at the time, but Jamie Oliver is absolutely correct!

I was never really into fat/fast food, only b4 I became a teenager, dunno, after that I became a veggie maniac, even for dinner I often forget about everything else and just eat salads and stuff(I'm a potato and tomato addict xD)

I'm veggie too, except I lapsed into the occasional fish, but not for my health, hated the way animals are treated and won't be party to it !

Think it's any nicer for the fish to get hooked or netted? Don't get me wrong Mike;)- that's TOTALLY not a criticism but there is no need for humans to feel guilty about animals we raise to eat.

What else could they do if we couldn't eat them? It's not like the cows and chickens are collaborating on a cure for cancer and then the HUMANS drop in and deep fry them....I'm NOT supportive of imhumane farm conditions where they're kept in a tiny cage their entire life but I live in an agricultural area and can tell you - the world would STARVE without good farmers...and has...and I don't want any part of it so I won't feel bad about the fate of animals.

PLEASE pm me with it - We're buddies and I can take it:) But I'm almost 100% certain you will be incorrect.

(Just because I really want to hear your reply - I'm PMing this reply from the "DO YOU COOK?" thread directly to you)

Have at it in public or private - your choice buddy!

I think I'm a pretty good cook.
I just don't anymore.
Now it's mostly just fruits, veg. yogurt, protein shakes and stuff like that.

I am a pretty good cook, but due to recent knee surgery and current broken ankle (2nd time for this ankle in less than a year due to falls from bad knee) I can't stand long enough to cook anything good. Also I live in an apt with no counter space to prepare ingredients on.

My partner and I have been together for 25 years. We have eaten dinner together sitting down with a cloth napkin every night all those years when we're both in town. It's one of the reasons we think our relationship has lasted through many ups and downs.

Most of those meals have been our own cooking. Trust me, we're both a lot better at it than we were 25 years and 200 cookbooks ago.
