Eternal life in Heaven seems Hell to me. I prefer the thought of ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

I want to believe I will. I hope God would be more loving than what other people credit him for.

Given all the talk of heaven being hell and hell being heaven I couldn't resist digging this up on YouTube:

Who am I to say where I'll be sent when I die? Only God, supposing such a thing exists, will tell. I've done both "good and bad" in this life. But what's good and bad before God's eye(s)?

Such questions are simply pointless since there'll never be a concrete answer. But it is something to ponder, at the very least.

Gay Heaven is as close as I'll ever get.

To answer for real, I think we have this life. No heaven, no hell, no reincarnation. This life...so make the most of it.
Totally Agree! My grand-dad who is a strong believer told me once; the life you have now is the one we know you as Jake, what happens in the after life isn't you! And funny enough guys we're talking about a man that pray 5 times a day just like a Muslim, but he's christian.

I disagree strongly with your choice not to have a separate option for non-beleivers.

There is a world of difference between "I think I am not going to heaven because I am a bad person" and "I don't believe in heaven".

I'm not going to vote as the options stand.

If there were a Heaven, most people up there do not really qualify as very nice people in the values of this century. The masses of loud, intolerant bigoted people who follow Christianity throughout the world seem convinced that they will all meet up in Heaven; I don't believe they will end up there. If they do, then Heaven must be not the most pleasant place to spend 10 minutes, let alone all eternity.

You people think so four-dimensionally :)

One concept of heaven I really like is that we're inherently pure but being in this world is disorientating, confusing and even 'good' people say and do bad things through ignorance or even 'evil' but heaven would be a place where all of that horrible qualities were left behind leaving people eternally free of them.

Imagine if you died and went to heaven only to find all the people who bullied you, hated you, did you wrong or made your life in any way unhappy were also there, but instead of treating you the same, they had seen the errors of their ways and asked you for forgiveness and were kind to you. Then you ended up being eternal friends in the next world with the very people who made you miserable in this world.

Heaven would be a place of forgiveness and redemption. I like that idea because it makes everyone a winner.

We need to remember that when people do bad things, they're still human too even though they are misguided in their thoughts and actions. In a different life and a different world they could be very different people.

That's a well thought out answer, and a lovely concept, but what if it wasn't like that, what if you were in the afterlife and found out that you couldn't say sorry to all the people you were planning to say sorry to and they were also unable to make ammends to you. Maybe you're right maybe you're wrong, I hope you are right but is it not a good idea to get your appologising in before you croak, just in case?

This might be more suitable to the paranormal thread but I know of three people who passed away from my life in totally separate incidences - one family member, one friend and one person who caused me a lot of unhappiness in my life. In each instance sometime after they died but before I actually found out I clearly remember dreaming of them and in each case I 'sensed' them being much happier in my dreams than I remember them in life. There was a 'sense' of goodbye and a 'please no hard feelings'. I remember waking up very much at peace and only later found out they had died.

Now for the record, I'm not suggesting Im psychic or i even believe in heaven, I'm actually very scientifically minded. I've just had inexplicable experiences that I cannot explain in a rational manner. In fact had I not had first hand experience myself I would find it hard to believe someone else's story.

I have always been and will always be a 'good' person and never needed 'heaven' to do this. None of my experiences have changed my actions in any way. I still do what I do.

As atheist I don't believe on heaven, so naturally it's impossible to go nonexistent place. And if heaven and hell existed, in the hell there are better companions.

There is no heaven or hell. When we die - we die: to cease to live; undergo the complete and permanent cessation of all vital functions. It will be just like it was before we were born. Remember that - was that so bad?

I would have to believe theirs a heaven, because I feel I'm in Hell now.

That's sad if true. Im a big believer in people having the power to change their lives for the better. I hope you find some inner strength :)
