Hi all, I want a Kindle Fire, not just to use as an E.reader and for playing games but also to download some of my DVD movies to it so I can watch them on planes etc. There seem to be lots of software out there to rip & convert to a Kindle supported file format but which FREE one has the GH seal of approval? I have read some reviews complaining of hidden malware, viruses, or that some are just too damn complicated to use

And for those techies here if I have to self select settings for file format; resolution; bitrates etc what should I go for? And obviously the file sizes of the movies will vary but "on average" what sort of size will one be? - I'm wondering whether I should go for a 16GB or 32GB kindle.
