Extracting Geo-location Data From Images and Video - Any Advice ?

Hi Guys,

As many of you may be aware, modern digital cameras (still and video) and phones are able to add the location coordiantes of where the image/video was taken.

Now I'm not planning on stalking a nice young lad or anything weird or illegal, but can anybody offer a Fool's Guide on how to extract such information (if present) from pics and/or video, including what software I need, please ?

I've tried looking at the Properties (by right clicking on the image) but either the info. wasn't present or it's not accessible that way.

Well I just put "Extracting Geo-location Data From Images" into google and got several hits such as readexifdata; jeffrys exif viewer and exiftool
