Hello,

when a new site seems to be my taste I am willing to pay.
But I am not willing to use my creditcard for a pornsite!
Some offer "call2pay" - a fast and uncomplicated benefit for customers and producers.
I have no idea why most pornsites focus on creditcards and further complicated payment procedures???
Why do they prevent potential customers... I am permanentely asking myself!?

So in case I may ask...

Does anybody in here has already videos from this site:

Most porn sites don't process their own payments at all! Most porn sites use billing services like CCBill to process payments. So, if your fear is that you are giving your credit card to a porn site, you are almost certainly not.

Annoyingly, presumably through prudishness, many common payment services like PayPal have it in their TOS that they cannot be used for porn. Hence there being a need for services like CCBill.

Something else to bear in mind is that a credit card is a very safe way to pay for things - it is not your money you are paying with, it is the bank's money. Hence, if there is fraud, it's not your problem, it's your bank's problem.

Also - most people find credit cards very easy, so I really don't think porn sites are making things hard for your average person, and I don't think they are leaving a lot of money on the table - they are run by smart business people - leaving easy money on the table is not what they are known for!

I used my creditcard one single time, and then an unknown company charged an astronomic amount.
That´s why I still feel unsafe with this.
But this happened 10 years ago, maybe this has changed as I read in Your answer!?

If you live in the United States and wish to purchase a subscription to a porn site do this.

1. Walk into any drugstore or grocery store and purchase a money giftcard IE Visa or Mastercard. They come in amounts like 25, 50 or up too 500 I think. then go online and register it. You can then use it to shop online almost anywhere as long as it's in the US. (Helix Studios explains how to do it on their website.

I presume you got your money back 10 years ago?

The laws on credit cards have not changed - if something shows up on your bill that you did not agree to, you don't have to pay it. Just call your credit card company and tell them the large charge was not made by you.

Credit cards have this, debit cards, on average, do not (there are exceptions), so, this is why I tell people NEVER to use a debit card online, EVER! Credit cards though, they are fine, just remember to check your bill, and report any fraud you find.

Something else to watch out for is that some of the less-scrupulous sites sneak in all sorts of little extras that are technically listed on the checkout page, but that you did not explicitly pick. If you don't watch them like a hawk, you might accidentally agree to something you don't want. The worst kind of BS like this is adding a "free one-day trial" to some other site, and in the small print it says that if you don't cancel within 24 hours you will be billed on a recurring basis.

I live in Europe, I don´t know yet if something similar like US-giftcards is offered in my country!?
But Your reply reminds me that my bank offers a so called Paysafe Card... I will have a look...

Yes, this fraud happened 10 years ago and I got my money back.
But the procedure was uncomfortable, I had to declare officially with my signature that this was a fraud, together with a copy of my passport and things like that.

I am at the same bank for half of my life, they know me for more than 15 years - what I simply worry about:
In case of fraud... will they also ask "Which site was this?" ;-)

Before I give any personal information to any website (adult or mainstream), I look for three things. First, do they have a Privacy Policy. Any legitimate company will gladly explain what they do with your information and whether they share it with other companies.

Second, I look for Contact information. I want to know that if I have an issue, is there going to be a way to talk to someone. Ideally, the website will provide multiple methods (email, web form, and/or phone number).

Finally, once I get to the "sign-up" page, I verify that the information is encrypted. This is the easiest one because your web browser will probably alert you if there is a problem.
