Hello guys, I've found a old Google Chrome that is compatible with GH..it's a old version of Google Chrome. But it works! You can either download this version in the link below or simply wait until Google Chrome get there crap together with the newer version that's out. This version is a little slower then the newer one...but only download if you want to. :p

-If you have any questions, please PM me, or simply comment. :)

Using an out of date browser with known security bugs is HIGHLY dangerous - about the most dangerous thing you could do in the modern age really.

Most modern malware spreads over the web, and relies on known security bugs in browsers and plugins to spread. An out of date browser is a bit like a Petri dish, the perfect environment for viruses!

I miss Chrome too, but obviously I'm not gonna download this older version for all the reasons gb200ie said---plus I don't want slower. I've been using Firefox for GH since this problem began and don't much care for Firefox either. Is there any chance Chrome is blocking GH on purpose? I just tried to access gay-bb.org and encountered a notice saying the ISP cut service to that site. I have a sinking feeling that what people on here are hoping---that Chrome will "get their act together" so GH is accessible---is never gonna happen.

I have used many browsers over the years. While Chrome is pretty good, it is not my favorite FWIW. :)

In my working life and personal life I have not had one issue with a log in on Chrome except here. How does that equate to Google that needs to get their "shit together"?

Well - every other browser works just fine here, as do old versions of Chrome. Clearly, there is some kind of bug in the latest version of Chrome. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

uh-huh

At the risk of blowing my legendary popularity rating (lol), I’m reporting that the latest iteration of IE, a browser I haven't used in years, is pretty damn fast for this site on a Windows 7, four-core 64-bit system with 8 gigs of RAM. Tried IE 11 after reading several “reviews” (claques?) touting measures that supposedly show benchmark speeds nearly double those of Chrome, Opera, and FF.

So far, so good. Light-warp log-ins, searches, etc. Oh yeah, and Safari was rated slowest. On Chrome, for instance, gay-board.org has been like dial-up for months (not always, but way too much---enough to call it consistently sludgy), yet on IE 11, every page there seems to blaze open, and consistently too. Even so, this doesn’t exonerate MS for all their crimes against humanity.

O.K., I’ll now assume the crucify position---plus I feel dirty, like an enabler or an accomplice. Spanx me, Daddies. Spanx me hard---or at least with your hards.

I'll admit, I've been using IE lately on the site too. It makes me feel dirty to do so, but it does seem to work pretty fast on this site.

I'm using the most recent version of Chrome and have yet to notice any issues while browsing here. Am I missing something?

I am with you Arctictwin - I don't get all this drama either. Chrome has been working fine for me too! OK, sometimes in GH I will have to reload a page now and then but that is it and hardly a MAJOR issue.

Lately Gh been having issues with the latest version of Google Chrome. The problem was if you sign in...you will get a error saying your password and username is wrong. But last time I downloaded google chrome was 2 or 3 weeks ago. But you are saying the problem is resolved it sounds like.

Chrome worked fine at GH for years. Suddenly a couple weeks ago, it no longer allows me to log in. I get the "invalid username, etc." message over and over. Don't think I'm the only one with this prob. But if it's working fine for others, maybe we're doing something wrong. What is it?

It's just as my friend rocket123 said - we had some very annoying problems login in to GH with Chrome a couple of weeks ago. Many of us including the tech staff at GH realized, that it was some kind of glitch occuring due to the latest version of Chrome. What I did personally was to switch back to Firefox - and all the problems disappeared. At least this particular problem...

Chrome continue to prevent access. After many days the problem is unresolved, so I have to conclude that the technicians of Chrome did not care about this issue, assuming they are aware.

Thanks for the info:thumbs up: I feel pretty certain I won't switch back from Firefox to Chrome...

Ahh ok now I see. I'm always logged in so haven't had to use my username & password in quite a long time. I'd hate having to switch to Firefox (way too slow especially when browsing flash-based websites).
