THE next instalment in the blockbuster Halo video game series will launch worldwide on September 14.
There has been record participation in the game as it was undergoing testing in recent weeks.
The new game features a group of Spartan soldiers making their final stand on planet Reach. It was expected to launch sometime around December, but its release will now come just before the arrival of the much-anticipated Project Natal add-on for the Xbox.
The motion sensor device was also expected to arrive later in the year, but details of a September release for Natal were leaked by a Microsoft executive earlier this month.
