JDownloader is free. Just Google for it.
Winrar is not free but you can get a 40-day trial version. Meanwhile. I'll PM the OP to see if he can help.

the download links to rapidshare jDownloader and win rar are dead. can you re-up them? thanks
One good alternative would be "7 Zip". It can handle lots of archive types. And the best part: It's open source and therefore free.
Pupsc?
Microsoft Security Essentials and MalwareBytes did not find but ran Spybot Search and Destroy and it came up with PUPSC in JDownloader. Clicked Fix Problems and it seemed to get removed, not showing next scan but will recheck next time I use JD just to see if it reinstalls.
Searching Google did not settle what this was or why it all of a sudden appeared since I've used JD for a long time but there are other recent mentions of this showing on JD. There were mentions to run Spybot as Administrator for best results removing PUPSC.

I have been away for quite awhile and I have forgotten how to download a film, I did click the thank you button, expecting to see the links but got nothing, would appreciate some help here, I already have downloader, cheers
If there were no visible links after you clicked a thanks button please report the post so that we can have it fixed.
Usually down loading involves clicking the links and going through whatever waiting period and captchas the file file host requires, saving the file and then ( for a video) joining the parts
