I have to disagree that Zegers is a forgettable actor. While he is a steady working actor, who sometimes seems to end up taking parts that should be beneath him, he just hasn't had the luck to be in a breakout role. I see no reason not to compare him with people like Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, neither of whom are any more talented than Kevin, but both of whom have certainly been more lucky in their careers. (Of course, they are both really now just celebrities, not true actors.) Search out "A Call To Remember" for a good performance by a young Zegers, and "4 Days" is a great showcase for him as a teen. Even during his days as a Disney boy, and the bunch of low budget horrors that he made, his performance was always better than the average kid actor, IMHO. I think he makes good choices for roles that will help transition him into an adult actor, like "Transamerica," and I respect the fact that he barely went the pretty celebrity route, even when his pictures were making the rounds in teen magazines.
